Information for Our Sponsors

Michigan Center for Skin Care Research has continued to conduct clinical trials for over 30 years and is located in Macomb County, one of the fastest growing suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. The study subjects represent a heterogeneous population being drawn from Macomb Community College (with a student body numbering 24,000), Selfridge Air Force Base, local retirement communities, and active dermatological practices. Consequently, Skin Care Research has a large base of potential trial subjects with a wide demographic variety. Our recruitment strategies include: database mailings from both the research data base and general dermatology practices databases; social media – Craig’s List, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter in combination with traditional media of television, radio and print when necessary.

Enrollment and completion rates for our studies are high and typically meet or exceed sponsor requirements. We are often asked to enroll more than our original quota to help the sponsor reach their national goals.

All of our investigators are board certified Dermatologists providing Skin Care Research with a broad range of expertise including cosmetic and surgical dermatology. Our support staff includes a full-time Certified Clinical Research Coordinator / Director, 2 full-time research coordinators, an Administrative / Regulatory Specialist, and a Receptionist / Recruitment Specialist. We are qualified to perform drug studies at the Phase 2 through Phase 4 levels. We have worked directly with pharmaceutical companies and through contract research organizations. Our state of the art facility is especially suited for this work with a laboratory that hosts a refrigerated centrifuge, -20° & -70° refrigerators with remote temperature monitoring, and secured locked storage of test products and CRF's (case report forms).

We would appreciate the consideration of Skin Care Research as one of your study centers for future clinical trials.
